New booking report, with a focus on cancellations
A new Booking lead time & cancellation trends report is available, which may help you understand booking behaviour at your school. It answers questions like:
- What proportion of bookings are cancelled?
- How far in advance do customers typically book?
- Which days of the week and months of the year see the highest cancellation rates?
- How many cancellations are made by customers themselves vs. staff?
The report intelligently ignores quick admin corrections (a booking made and cancelled within moments) so you see real trends, not noise.
Student dropout risk
This report under Bookings flags up students with at least 2 bookings in the last 120 days, no future bookings, and whose last booking was more than 14 days ago. These may be students who were previously engaged in their flying but for some reason appear to have stopped planning any more. This could be a useful report to use for following up with the student.
Seasonal demand by month
This one lives under Flights > Reports. The format is similar to the flights by pilot and by aircraft, but breaks down by month. The hope for this one is that it provides some idea of planning based on the previous year's flying.
Debt & late payments
Under Billing > Reports, this report gives information about late payment of invoices over a date range. It might be most useful to set a custom date range up to today's date, perhaps a complete year. The report has two parts; the first looks at late payment statistics by customer role (student, renter, associate member and so on). The second part is a list of the worst offenders for late payments, ordered by their average days overdue.
