Smarter airfield autocomplete — now with 1,500+ UK airfields
When booking out or logging a flight, you've always been able to select from your most-visited airfields with a single tap. For anywhere else, the system has searched your previously entered destinations to surface the most common ones — "Turweston", for example.
That works well for established clubs with a rich history of logged destinations. But if you're new to the system — or you simply want consistent, standardised airfield names — there's now a better option.
The screenshot below shows the results for "farm", which I've deliberately picked because there are so many of them!

To switch it on, go to Admin > Flight log and aircraft > Use a database to autocomplete airfield locations. You can choose to use the airport name or ICAO code (names shown in the example).
If you prefer how things work today, you can leave the setting off — or turn it back off at any time. It's entirely your choice.
Correcting previous entries
We’ve added a new screen under Admin > Flight log and aircraft > Fix place names. This screen helps to correct any mis-spelled airfield names. Start typing the name of an airfield you know has been mis-typed and it will allow all of those matching to be changed in one go.
